Description

This 1 Day course is intended for Confined Space Entrants and Stand-by Attendants who may be required to:

  • Enter confined spaces
    Work in confined spaces
    Perform Stand-by attendant duties
    Gas test confined spaces
    Ventilate confined spaces and Perform non-entry retrieval rescues

A significant part of this course involves several hands-on exercises, including standby attendant duties, entry into confined spaces, gas testing, ventilation, lockout and retrieval rescue.

    Rescue equipment
    Toolbox safety meeting
    Live entries into confined spaces

Method of course delivery:

40% Presentation, Discussions & Demonstration 60% Student Exercises Student/instructor ratio: 12/2

Evaluation:

50% Written Test (passing score is 70%) 50% Demonstration of physical proficiency

Certification:

Upon successful completion a 3 Year Certificate will be issued

Prerequisites

There are no specific prerequisites for this course. However, participants should have a basic understanding of workplace safety principles and regulations.

This course is suitable for workers, supervisors, and managers who may be required to enter, work in, or supervise work in confined spaces, including but not limited to construction workers, industrial maintenance personnel, and emergency responders.
