This lesson informs you of the importance of following safe practices in the workplace. Additionally, it covers some preventative measures that will protect you from hazards and how to respond if an emergency should occur.

In this course the following topics are covered: 

• Recognize safe and unsafe practices in the workplace 
• Identify existing protective measures that will help protect you from hazards in the workplace 
• Recognize the appropriate actions you should take in an emergency situation

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
