This lesson will teach you about the types of chemical hazards you may encounter in your workplace, how your employer’s hazard communication plan works to inform you of and protect you from these hazards, and the purpose and components of a safety data sheet (SDS).
1. Describe the three types of chemical hazards
2. Recognize the purpose and importance of a hazard communication plan
3. Recognize the purpose and components of an SDS
4. Identify chemicals and their hazards through labeling, markings, pictograms, and warming practices
A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
