The Low Down on Construction – April 27
With the MERIT Awards of Excellence fast approaching, we thought it appropriate to showcase one of our great members, and major sponsor of the Awards, Pentec Energy Ltd.
Since May 2010, Pentec Energy Ltd has been providing high quality electrical contracting services to the commercial, industrial and institutional sectors of Saskatchewan.
Based in Saskatoon, Pentec Energy, a member of MERIT Contractors, is a diverse electrical contractor who has worked on many major projects in the province. Some recent projects they have been involved with are the Martensville Joint Use School P3 project, the new 14 storey ALT Hotel being constructed downtown Saskatoon as well as the Chiller Upgrades Project at RUH for the new Jim Pattison Childrens Hospital.
According to company president, Kirk Simonson, their success all starts with the people at Pentec Energy. He holds firm to the belief that the best asset the company has are the people and in treating all staff with respect and fairness. With this culture behind them, the staff provide a top level of service which has earned Pentec a solid reputation with clients, general contractors and suppliers.
Kirk has found it very satisfying to see team members grow with the company. He feels the company has developed a very talented team and would count their group as one of the best in the industry. Pentec has earned a reputation as a company where people want to work and build a career.
The other key reasons for their success is Pentec’s belief in quality workmanship, commitment to their clients and a clear understanding of the costs. As he is very diligent when bidding on projects, Kirk takes a targeted approach with innovative solutions when crafting proposals for projects. The proposal Pentec provides for each project is a specific model to provide excellence and value to their clients.
Since opening their doors, a strong team, ethical practices, quality workmanship and strong partner relationships have been the cornerstones of Pentec’s success.
Kirk is especially proud of the work their team did on the recent Martensville Joint Use School P3 project. By playing a major role in the building of this facility, Pentec is helping to create a better quality of life in Saskatchewan for future generations.
MERIT is honoured to work with Kirk and his team to help grow the province and very happy to include them as a major sponsor for the Awards of Excellence.
