BC Hydro has power lines both above ground and underground. It's vital to position anything you build underground to avoid the safety risk of fault transfer when electricity arcs from a power line/cable into the ground and/or surrounding equipment. Any underground infrastructure proposals within BC Hydro’s Right of Way must be reviewed and approved by them! We will talk about the roles and responsibilities of the BC Hydro Underground Locate team and highlight the processes BC Hydro uses when responding to locate tickets.
