Medical gases perform a critical role in health care delivery and are used in a variety of locations. This course provides a basic understanding of medical gases, allowing a learner to better identify what they are, their uses, and safety considerations when in use. Provides insight into Z7396.1, Medical gas pipeline systems - Part 1: Pipelines for medical gases, medical vacuum, medical support gases, and anesthetic gas scavenging systems, the governing standard for medical gas installations in health care institutions. 

This online training is a prerequisite to the Qualified Medical Gas Operator instructor-led training (below) and must be taken first.

Duration:  This course consists of 5 hours of online self-paced instruction.
