The Low-Down on Construction – April 24

Last Friday we celebrated our fifth MERIT Awards of Excellence. I am so proud of how these Awards have grown to highlight the many successes of our members and their employees.

We have so many talented individuals in our industry. Through these awards, we can tell their story and highlight how each nominee shares their skills and leadership to positively influence the people they work with.

Above all, our MERIT awards night allows us to showcase our pride at being open shop contractors. Together, we celebrate the success of our members and support those who play a role in the growth of our province.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, I want to thank our generous sponsors who make our awards possible. Also, a very warm thank you to Minister Morgan, Minister Marit and MLA Warren Steinley for sharing the evening with us. I also want to give heart-felt thanks to my staff as they put in many hours to ensure the event was a success.

What I enjoy most about the Awards is the welcoming and positive atmosphere. It’s really a family affair where we share the night with those special people who, on a day-to-day basis, go above and beyond in the construction industry.

To all the nominees, we appreciate the work you do and just being nominated puts you all at the peak of our industry.

HUGE congratulations to these 2017 MERIT Awards of Excellence winners.
